Are you constantly feeling overwhelmed and exhausted from the demands of life?
Do you feel that your current mental health is having a detrimental effect on your well-being?
If the answer is yes then you're not alone. It can be difficult opening up and feeling vulnerable, but it can also be the first step to the life you want.
Therapy should fit in with your life. I'm here to help support you and that means working together on the best approach for your well being and mental health. You don't have to suffer alone.
I believe therapy should be as individual as you. Whether we are looking at your past, present or working towards a goal in the future, we can do so together in a way that is safe, practical and above all, at the pace that is comfortable for you.
I am a qualified counsellor with a Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice. For more details on the BACP Ethical Framework, please visit the BACP website here.
How I Work in Counselling
We'll explore your presenting issues and decide together which way to work.
I use an Integrative approach and include exploration around attachment styles, values, core beliefs, current behaviours and relationships, as well as working in a Psychodynamic and relational way, looking at your past and how this may be affecting you in the present.
The sessions are yours and you can choose what we work on in a safe way.
How I Work as a Life Coach
As your Coach, I will be a guide to help you make lasting changes to improve life satisfaction and create a balance that suits you.
By exploring beliefs and behaviours, we'll ensure manageable tasks aligned with your values take you in the right direction.
It's a collaborative relationship where we'll work together to achieve your goals.
The Counselling Process
Sometimes you'll know what you want to talk about in the session beforehand, and sometimes you won't. That's ok! It's your time. I'll be there alongside you, however you wish to use the sessions.
In counselling, things may feel like they are getting worse before getting better. It is a process and one that can cause you to feel tired after a session or feel like stopping. I'd encourage you to talk to me if you feel like this at any point, so we can explore how to move forward together.
Outdoor / Walk and Talk Therapy
If sitting in a room isn't for you, that's not a problem. I offer Outdoor Therapy / Walk and Talk sessions.
Using the local woods, parks or beaches we can engage in the natural environments around us to add a different dimension to your therapy sessions.
